With the support of our media partners Eagle Dynamics, DCS Dogfighters and Виртуальный пилот we are introducing BACK 2 BFM - the second major installment in our competitive BFM series for DCS World! This event features three distinct tournaments focused on a different class:
Map: Caucasus
AC Lineup:
- 4Gen: F-14B, F-15C, F-16C, FA-18C, J-11A, JF-17, M-2000C, MiG-29A Fulcrum, MiG-29S, Su-27, Su-33
- Rotary: AH-64D, Ka-50, Ka-50 III, Mi-8MT, Mi-24P, SA342L, OH58D, UH-1H
- Warbirds: Bf-109K-4, FW-190A8, FW-190D9, F4U-1D, I-16, MosquitoFBMkVI, P-47D-30, P-51D, SpitfireLFMkIX, SpitfireLFMkIXCW
Registration
Complete the following steps for sign-up:
- Create an account on virpil-servers.com if you don't have one yet,
- Connect your Discord (optional, but highly recommended as it helps with coordination),
- Sign up for any tournaments of the Back 2 BFM series. You’re welcome to register for all three tournaments if you wish, but please only do so if you’re confident you can participate in the final stages. Qualifying and then dropping out wastes a slot that could’ve gone to another pilot ready to compete.,

Tournaments' Stages
The tournament will take place over multiple stages, with events held on weekends and on some weekdays. The exact number of events and their schedule will be announced after the registration period.
The tournaments in each aircraft class will include the following stages:
Qualification Stage
Round-robin format over a weekend event
Scoring System
- Win (match) = 3 points
- Draw = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
Advancement Top 16, 32, 48, 56 or 64 players move on to the Group Stage (depending on sign-ups)
Tiebreakers: Duel win/loss difference, head-to-head results
Group Stage
Qualified players will receive invitations; if declined, the next highest-ranked player is invited Groups of a set number of players depending of the number of qualification participants A fixed number of duels per match Top 2 pilots from each group advance to the Knock-out Stage

Knock-out Stage
The battle intensifies with a single-elimination bracket, including a 3rd place match. Match Rounds:
- Best of 5,
- Final: Best of 7,
- 3rd place match: Best of 5,
Prizes
The top-3 pilots in each tournament will get the following prizes
- Champion: €200 discount code for VIRPIL Controls store + DCS module
- Runner-up: €100 code discount code for VIRPIL Controls store
- Third Place: €50 code discount code for VIRPIL Controls store
